Remember we use the second conditional when we want to talk about unreal or imaginary situations. We think these situations are unlikely to happen. to form the second conditional we use if + past simple, would + infinitive.
If I had lots of money, I would go on a luxury holiday.
Examples:
- If Jonny won the lottery, he would buy an expensive car.
- If Karl married Karla, they would move to London.
- if it snowed in July, I would go skiing.
