Course Profile: Work & Business English Combination
English for Work and Business English courses combine working in a small general English group in the mornings to develop speaking and listening communication. Reflecting real world and workplace multi-level communication scenarios, learn how to communicate effectively across different cultures and differing levels of English. Maximum 5 students per group.
Please note the speaking & listening group is a multi-level class for B1 to C1 participants. We believe this reflects real world multi-level communication scenarios.
What to expect in the speaking & listening group:
- Practise your conversation and communication skills, including; turn-taking, interaction patterns, listening habits, and small talk
- Carry out discussion, problem-solving, and presentation tasks
- Discuss general and work related topics as well as group requests
The one-to-one classes focus on specific, individual needs and will develop your work-related vocabulary and communication skills for all professional situations.
What to expect in the Work & Business 1-to-1 class:
- develop specific vocabulary for your area of work and business
- practise using English for writing emails, reports, negotiating, meetings, telephoning and conference calls
- improve your general and social communication skills for dealing with English speaking clients or colleagues
- give specific presentations in English
- raise your awareness of ‘global English’
- work on your specific requests

Course Profile: Individual or private group
Individual Tuition (1-to-1) classes focus on specific, individual needs and develop your work-related vocabulary and communication skills. You can choose exactly what areas of English you want to focus on during the whole course.
Popular requests include preparing for a presentation or interview, writing a report or emails, conference calls and small talk with clients. You can also work on pronunciation and speaking skills or you could do a grammar review or vocabulary building.
Private mini groups are available for 2 to 5 students with a similar level of English. You can study with your colleagues, friends or family.
