IELTS Preparation Course

Course Type: Group Tuition, Group Tuition Plus, One-to-One

Our IELTS preparation course (INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM) (www.ielts.org) is for students who need to take the IELTS test for work or study in the UK or in another English speaking country.  The course combines extending your General English language with specific IELTS examination skills and practice:

  • continuing to improve and develop your General English language in all areas and on a wide range of topics
  • focusing on specific vocabulary useful for IELTS examination topics
  • improving your reading, writing, listening and speaking specifically for the IELTS test
  • developing examination strategies
  • practising past papers under controlled conditions
  • continued feedback on your progress

IELTS preparation courses are 20, 25 or 30 hours per week, either as a Group Tuition course or a Group Plus Tuition course

Class size: Maximum 5 students per class

Level: From intermediate to advanced

Start date: Any Monday throughout the year

Course Length: 1 or more weeks

IELTS examinations can be taken at the local IELTS centre in Edinburgh every month.  Fee for examination is not included in the course price.  The IELTS exam costs £110

Cambridge First Certificate, Cambridge Advanced, Cambridge Proficiency Examinations Preparation Course

Our Cambridge examination courses are for students who wish to prepare for the First Certificate, Advanced or Proficiency examinations (www.cambridgeesol.org/exams/general-english/). The course combines general English language development with the relevant examination skills and practice:

  • continuing to improve and develop your general English language in all areas
  • focusing on specific vocabulary useful for particular examination topics
  • improving your reading, writing, listening and speaking specifically for the FCE, CAE or CPE 
  • developing efficient examination strategies
  • practising past papers under controlled conditions

The First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency courses are 20, 25 or 30 hours per week.
